Candidate in Fundraising at New York University Communications Editor, PhilanthropyNYU Ann Paisley Chandler holds a B.A. in English Literature with Creative Writing emphasis from Wofford College and is a former Peace Corps volunteer, Ghana 2008-2011. She worked with government officials, artisans, and donors to design, finance, and construct a library, now staffed and operated by community members, and worked closely with Books for Africa to coordinate the shipment of 22,000 books from the U.S. to Ghana. She planned activities and events at Ghanaian orphanages, organized and executed HIV/AIDS education projects, in collaboration with ActionAid, and partnered with Ghana Sustainable Change Project and USAID on the Malaria Day Campaign. Fluent in Twi and familiar with Ewe, she has a particular interest in African philanthropy and interns at the United Nations in New York City. |

Editor-in-Chief, PhilanthropyNYU Helen has over twelve years of leadership experience in the corporate sector and has now brought her skills and knowledge to the non-profit sector. She is in her third semester at New York University and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of PhilanthropyNYU. She also serves as the Vice President of the NYU Graduate Student Council and serves on the Fundraising Student Association Board. Helen has worked with the Ronald McDonald House of NY, the Sutton Area Community Board (SAC) and serves on the Junior Board of Associates of Uniting Against Lung Cancer. Helen is fluent in Greek and her interest lies in pediatric oncology research development and Greek-American philanthropy. A former White House Intern, Helen holds a B.A. from Hofstra University in Political Science and Business Law. |

Incoming Articles Editor, PhilanthropyNYU Aaron Green is currently interning at Career Gear working in individual giving. Aaron received his B.A. in History from the University of Washington in 2004 and was subsequently commissioned the US Marine Corps as a Supply Officer. During his six years he achieved the rank of Captain and deployed to western Iraq twice. He earned his certificate in Fundraising Management and Nonprofit Management in 2011 from the University of Washington. He is now in his second semester at the Heyman Center. Aaron is a former board member for Greatest Goal Ministries in Seattle, which works with the amputees and disabled of Sierra Leone. His interests are in veterans', men and boys' issues, education, and how nonprofits can improve leadership and management methods for success. |

M.S. Candidate in Fundraising at New York University Marketing and Outreach Editor, PhilanthropyNYU Jessa Schwartz has over 15 years’ experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Previously the director of an international sales organization, Jessa now makes philanthropy her full time commitment. Jessa was awarded the prestigious Bonner Scholarship for her community service and graduated from Guilford College with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. Her primary focuses are in human rights advocacy and humanitarian aide as well as community-oriented projects through fundraising and special event planning. She sits on the Board of Directors of SAC and has had the privilege of working with such organizations as Special Olympics, UNICEF, American Indian Heritage Foundation and the New York City Public School System. |

Technical Editor, PhilanthropyNYU Sarah Wozniak is a Fundraising Events Associate at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to her work on Cycle for Survival, Sarah has worked with The Pearl Theatre Company, Blue School, the Playhouse Square Foundation (Cleveland), and as a consultant for the JP Morgan Chase Fund for Small Theatres grant program through A.R.T./New York. Sarah augments her philanthropic experience through fundraising and volunteer work with Poetry Out Loud, New York Cares, Holy Apostles and Saint Joe’s Soup Kitchens, Animal Haven, the Citizens Budget Commission and the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP).
